Kompete invites students to participate in a Student Journalist Challenge and present their Video as a news correspondent

• Participation will be considered in 3 age groups – 6-9 years, 10-13 years, 14-17 years. Completed age as on 31st Dec 2020 will be considered
• Registration fee of Rs.125/- per participant. Click on Register Now button to fill the details and then you will be routed to make the payment
• Registration fee once paid is non-refundable
• Registrations shall be open for a limited time
• Kompete reserves the right to verify authenticity of participant and submissions and expect complete co-operation from the participants and their coordinating guardians
• Kompete reserves the right to publish the submissions on social media/print or any other medium for marketing and result announcements
• Any inappropriate content demeaning caste, creed, sex, race etc or any other received in any form shall be disqualified without assigning any reason whatsoever
• Note: You can participate in multiple competitions of Kompete at the same time
• Below email id to be used for any queries related to the competition. Please do mention the competition name in the query email. Email is used for participant registration should be used for queries.

• Participants can choose any activity happening around within the house, building, society, school, garden etc and present it as Breaking News on a video
• Video can be presented in either English or Hindi language
• Participant is expected to be the journalist in the video and deliver the news with the activity well captured
• Video recorded should not exceed 1 minute excluding the introduction
• Video can be taken on mobile phone or regular camera
• Video recording should start with participant introducing himself/herself with full name, age category, school name, city and mention “participating in Student Journalist Competition by Kompete.in”
• The introduction should be followed by the 1 Minute compilation
• Single video submission only will be accepted
• Video to be sent either through wetransfer or a google drive link or youtube link to the email provided below
• Submission Email should bear the subject ‘Kompete – Student Journalist – Full Name of Participant’
• Any other means of submission shall not be accepted and entry will be disqualified
• Professional Jury shall be appointed in December 2020 and the Jury list shall be shared with all participants
• All submissions will be evaluated as per age category by Professional Jury
• All submissions will be evaluated based on choice of activity, expression, language, confidence, voice etc
• Submissions are to be original thought and work of the participant and any undue help or plagiarism will result into disqualification. Due diligence of shortlisted entries will be done by the Jury and participants and their guardians are expected to cooperate fully.
• All submissions to be received before the submission deadline
• The decision of the judges and organizers will be final and binding on all participants
• Result announcement dates will be communicated to all participants at an appropriate time
