Brief

Kompete invites students to participate in Anecdote, an English Story writing competition and ink down their creativity. Participants will be provided with a picture and the story has to be written based on that picture

Rules

  • Individual Participation
  • Participation from Home
  • Participation will be considered in 3 age groups – 6-9 years, 10-13 years, 14-17 years. Completed age as on 31st Dec 2020 will be considered
  • Picture for each age group provided in the downloadable pdf below
  • Registrations shall be open for a limited time
  • Registration fees: Rs.125 per person
  • Registration fees are Non-Refundable
  • Kompete reserves the right to verify authenticity of participant and submissions and expect complete co-operation from the participants and their coordinating guardians
  • Kompete reserves the right to publish the submissions on social media/print or any other medium for marketing and result announcements
  • Any inappropriate content demeaning caste, creed, sex, race etc or any other received in any form shall be disqualified without assigning any reason whatsoever
  • Note: You can participate in multiple competitions of Kompete at the same time

Submission & Evaluation

  • Participants need to submit their stories in word/pdf file via email to the below mentioned email address
  • Submission Email should bear the subject ‘Kompete – Anecdote – Full Name of Participant’
  • Any other means of submission shall not be accepted and entry will be disqualified
  • Professional Jury shall be appointed in December 2020 and the Jury list shall be shared with all participants
  • All submissions will be evaluated as per age category by Professional Jury
  • All submissions will be evaluated based on language, creativity, interpretation, structure, facts, references, etc
  • Submissions are to be original thought and work of the participant and any undue help or plagiarism will result into disqualification. Due diligence of shortlisted entries will be done by the Jury and participants and their guardians are expected to cooperate fullyAll submissions to be received before the submission deadline
  • The decision of the judges and organizers will be final and binding on all participants
  • Result announcement dates will be communicated to all participants at an appropriate time
